One of the true highlights of this loop is the iconic Dells Mill, a picture-perfect historic stop that’s been a favorite of cyclists and photographers for years. This charming landmark marks the point where the 60-mile riders rejoin the larger routes, sharing the return journey back toward Eau Claire.
Family Ride - An urban family friendly ride on city bike trails. streets, and a 1.5 mile section of gravel trail. Eau Claire is known as the city of bridges and we will be crossing many of them. Riders should be comfortable riding in a group with an average speed of 10 - 12 mph. Distance of 12 - 14 miles depending on street / trail work.
RAW 2026 = Road Riding
Ride Across Wisconsin will take place on Paved Roads only, in 2026. Personal preference and comfort are key to which bike you select for your RAW. Riders have opted to travel by fat bike and even tandems to make RAW even more challenging. While that might only be for a very few riders, it does prove that you can finish RAW on pretty much any bike if you have the fitness, mental strength, and will.
Bikes welcome on RAW: road, gravel, triathlon, mountain, hybrid, electric, recumbent, handcycle, fat, tandem… if we didn’t list your bike, drop us a line and we’ll let you know if it’s welcome… chances are, it is!
E-Bike Across Wisconsin
175 miles is no joke, but it can be so much more fun on an electric bike. Anyone is welcome to ride an e-bike on RAW, self-supported. There will be power strips for rider use at various rest stops, but NOT all of them. Riders must bring their own chargers, batteries, and any other e-bike related supplies. Having an extra battery and a personal SAG is the way that seems to provide e-bike riders with the best experience.
Power available for charging at the following stops:
TBD
Please use your discretion on which bike to ride.
